Tuesday, July 8th, 2014 to Saturday, July 19th, 2014Join this fabulous tour to the Cowboy State: Wyoming, where we will revel in the history and the contemporary enchantments of this beautiful state. On our way to Wyoming, we'll see the National Parks located in South Dakota: Badlands and Mount Rushmore; and the Crazy Horse Monument. We'll see the unique Devil's Tower, and enjoy the majesty of both Yellowstone (hot springs, geysers), and the Grand Tetons.
We'll spend a night in Jackson Hole with plenty of free time for exploring. While in Casper, we'll take a covered wagon ride on the historic trails departing from the Platte River (Gold Rush Trail, Oregon Trail, Lewis and Clark), and enjoy a true chuckwagon dinner and visit an Indian Village while hearing stories of the old trails. We'll take a peek at Hell's Half-Acre, and the Crystal Gardens before heading into Cheyenne.
We'll stop to see the wagon ruts cut by the wheels of the covered wagons on the Oregon Trail, and then spend time in historic downtown Cheyenne. We'll take a tour of the Capital, and meet the people who govern the state whose motto is "Equal Rights." We'll enjoy Rocky Mountain National Park, and spend free time in the mountain town of Estes Park.

The setting for two award-winning films (Grand Hotel and Somewhere in Time, this island retains the beauty shown on film. Today, the island allows on emergency vehicles to be motorized; all others are horse-drawn.
We will enjoy a horse-drawn tour of the island, before enjoying a sumptuous luncheon at the Grand Hotel. Return ferry time is optional, so you may spend as much time on the island as you wish, to enjoy biking, hiking, shopping, historic sites, or many other options.

Lighthouses, Churches and Maritime stuff
Wednesday, September 10th, 2014 to Saturday, September 20th, 2014Join this fabulous tour to the Atlantic Provinces of Canada, and the coastal towns of Maine, where we will visit many lighthouses, including Cape Forchu, Peggy's Cove (the only post office inside a lighthouse), Point Prim (oldest lighthouse on Prince Edward Island), and many others. We will enjoy touring several old and beautiful churches, including Saint Anne's, Saint Mary's and Sacred Heart, and we'll stop for photos of the three famous churches in Mahone Bay. We'll enjoy rootling in both St. Andrews-By-the-Sea (NB) and Victoria (PEI), two small seaside villages with charm.
We'll see the home of Anne of Green Gables, and enjoy a stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company. We'll have a lobster dinner at St. Anne's Parish Church (other entrees available), and dinner at a Celtic Public House with live music and a great deal of atmosphere. We'll tour the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, where many of the the artifacts from the Titanic are displayed, and sail from Prince Edward Island to Nova Scotia on the Northumberland Ferry.
As we travel about the Maritime Provinces, we will experience some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, with the 28 shades of green on Prince Edward Island, the forested lakes of New Brunswick, and the rocky coastline of Nova Scotia. We will stop for lighthouses in many areas where an opportunity for a walk in the sunshine will delight, and where no camera can hope to capture the rare beauty we will experience.

Panama Canal Cruise
Thursday, February 5th, 2015 to Monday, February 16th, 2015Shorten winter with a fabulous cruise through the Panama Canal on the beautiful ship The Coral Princess, one of the Princess Line of cruise ships! We will depart from Fort Lauderdale Harbor in Florida on the afternoon of February 5. We will visit the following ports: Aruba; Gatun Lake, Panama; Limon, Costa Rica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Colon, Panama; Cartegna, Columbia; and disembark in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At each of these ports, shore tours will be available, and Hitchin' Post Tours will be happy to help you arrange for your chosen tours prior to sailing. Our ship is scheduled to traverse the first two locks of the canal beginning at 6:00 am, will drop us at Gatun Lake Yacht Club, and return for us at 3:00 pm.
